Giuseppe Cipriani
Named after his famous grandfather, who in 1931 founded the original and now landmarked
Harry's Bar in Venice, Giuseppe Cipriani is both a prominent international entrepreneur and
a passionate philanthropist. Since moving to New York City from Venice in the mid 1980's,
Giuseppe Cipriani has enjoyed tremendous success with several businesses under the banner
of his family's company, Cipriani International. Cipriani operations in New York City
include the restaurants Harry Cipriani, Cipriani Downtown, Rainbow Grill and Cipriani Dolci
in Grand Central Station. Long known for being a consummate host, Cipriani also manages
the city's premier event space including Cipriani 42nd Street in the historic Bowery Savings
Bank, the legendary Rainbow Room in Rockefeller Center and the famed Toy Building in
New York City. Giuseppe's first foray into real estate, the 106 fully furnished, fully serviced
Cipriani Club Residences at 55 Wall Street in NYC, opened in 2006 to acclaim from the
design community and long-time patrons of the many Cipriani establishments.
