Flavio Briatore

Born in Cuneo, Italy, Flavio Briatore moved to the U.S. in 1981 to aid friend Luciano
Benetton in expanding his fashion empire. In 1989 he entered the world of motoracing and
his dynamic leadership took the Benetton Formula Team to become world champions. Today, the world-renowned businessman, is best recognized for his successes in Formula One as managing director of the Renault team, winning 7 world championship titles since 1989.

Outside Formula One, Flavio Briatore's achievements range from a well-established pharmaceutical company, known as Pierrel, to the exclusive Italian beach club, Twiga, and the dreamlike well-being retreat, Lion in the Sun – Espace Henri Chenot. In 1998, Briatore created the Billionaire Club in Porto Cervo, Sardinia, which quickly attained legendary status and is still considered one of the most excitingand exclusive nightspots in the world. He plans to develop the Billionaire brand and, in 2005, launched Billionaire Italian Couture – a haute couture line for men with stores in London, Tokyo, Vienna and Moscow.
